The 7 weeks i spent in Panama have been amazing and now that i’m back in Canada-land, i’m also back to blogging. It’s been a great missions trip, still lots to process and a tremendous amount to be grateful for– not only for what God is doing in Panama but in my own life as well. If I had to sum it up in one word (which i shouldn’t, but I will), it would be: hopeful.
I’m going to string together some stories and pictures later on but in the meantime, a few Panama memories come to mind…
- Having several significant “light-bulb” moments about the Spirit-filled life.
- Seeing students come to Christ and then seeing them lead others to Him within weeks.
- Transformed lives.
- Cliff jumping up river. And the wedgies that come with the territory.
- Someone whipping an orange at my stomach with their machete.
- Being present at the execution of a chicken, which later became lunch.
- Witnessing a 13 year-old young man lead a 13 year-old young lady into a relationship with Jesus. Surreal and divine.
- Learning and experiencing more on effective ministry transference (vague jargon, i know).
- A great team of students.
